2023 Dodge Charger
The 2023 Dodge Charger is the last generation Charger as we know it. This iconic muscle car has Last Call plaques under the hood to mark its final year, and buyers can even get the 2023 in some of the paint colors from the past, including Plum Crazy and Sublime Green. Also, for 2023, the R/T models have 345 badging to showcase the V-8 engine that powers it, and the Hellcat models now offer the Jailbreak customization. Here's a look at some more details for the 2023 Dodge Charger.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Charger SXT comes with 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, power trunk release, power-adjustable side mirrors, and LED headlights. Step up to the GT for LED fog lights, heated side exterior mirrors, a sport-tuned suspension, and 20-inch wheels, or choose the R/T for an active exhaust. The Scat Pack comes with high-performance brakes and a high-performance suspension, and the SRT Hellcat Widebody has six-piston Brembo brakes, flared fenders, and an adaptive suspension. Additional trims include the Scat Pack Widebody and the SRT Hellcat Redeye.
Engine (Power)
The Charger's engine lineup starts with a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower for the SXT. The R/T gets a 370-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 that produces 395 pound-feet of torque, and then the Scat Pack bumps up the power with a 6.4-liter V-8 that generates 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. If you want even more power, the SRT Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that churns out up to 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
No matter which Charger you get or which engine it has, you'll get impressive amounts of power. The Scat Pack will get to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds while still offering a quiet and comfortable ride. This large sedan has a responsive steering system and strong brakes to give the driver confidence over any road, and it stays well connected to the road when taking tight corners.
Interior
There's room for up to five in the Charger. The SXT comes with cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and you'll get a heated steering wheel and heated front seats if you bump up to the Scat Pack. The SRT Hellcat Widebody comes with ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats and adds driver's seat memory settings.
Some of the tech features you can get in the Charger include a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen if you bump up to the GT or above. The Uconnect 4 infotainment system comes standard, providing Bluetooth streaming and voice commands.
Safety Features
Every Charger has a rearview camera, a full suite of air bags, hill start assist, and traction and stability control. The optional Technology Group adds some advanced driver safety aids, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, automatic high beam headlights, and lane-keep assist. This group also comes with rear cross-traffic alert. If you step up to the Hellcat model, it comes standard with the blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
